DISNEY PASTRY STRATEGY SESSION 2019 BRANDING

BACKGROUND

Each year, new and unique branding is created for the annual Pastry Strategy Session hosted at Walt Disney World for pastry chefs from Disney destinations from across the globe. The host has been dissatisfied with branding created by others for previous years, writing the designs off as being stereotypical, childish, and “housewife-esque”.

CHALLENGE

Create branding that is elegant, modern, and elevated, and that showcases the artistry that goes into pastry-making.

SOLUTION

Use on-trend graphics for 2019 like gradients and curved shapes to create a modern feel. Implement colors that allude to popular pastry flavors in 2019, such as dragonfruit (pink). For elegance/elevation, take inspiration from pastry plating techniques and incorporate into design.
